Formatges Sa Cabreta was born from the need of a group of young people to return to our rural roots, leaving behind the world of tourism in 2019, just before the COVID pandemic. Thus begins our journey through uncertain times of pandemics and new normals. We continue to fight every day to bring values and dignity to our profession, trying to pass on to our youth everything we learned as children and that is now being lost. At Sa Cabreta, we are committed to ecological farming, in harmony with nature, ensuring we do not exploit the earth’s resources without giving anything back in return.
HOW WE DO IT?
To produce our products, we rely on the milk from our Murciano-Granadina goats, which we care for with the utmost attention. We make our cheeses completely by hand; each piece is crafted individually, ensuring that every step conveys the essence of the Serra, so we do not compromise on quality. All our cheeses have an edible rind, giving each piece its own unique personality
We are situated in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, at the foot of Puig Tomir, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2011. This inhospitable topography and unique climate provide us with everything we are; our goats graze in this environment, resulting in excellent milk.
